Pure functionality in every detail
The Squale 1521 is a classic diving watch in its most refined form. With a history spanning over 40 years it is regarded as one of the most influential diving watches of the 1970s and it is still considered a blueprint for the ideal diving watch.
Charles von Büren (the founder of Squale) designed this watch with the intention of creating an elegant yet robust watch that could meet the most demanding needs of professional drivers. No frills, just pure functionality in every detail.
The Squale 1521 is a perfect example of the “form follows function” philosophy
Details like the shape of the case that protects the recessed crown, the bright orange minute hand that will tell you in the blink of an eye how much diving time is left, and the non-slip uni-directional bezel with the minute markers for safe operation and easy time measuring, all make this watch a design classic in every aspect.
This elegant watch is light and comfortable to wear on the wrist. It is powered by the tried-and-tested ETA 2824 automatic movement, which guarantees accuracy and reliability under the toughest conditions. Case-diameter is a comfortable 42mm and features a uni-directional bezel.
The case comes in three different finishes: high-gloss, polished steel or matte PVD and sandblasted steel. The lacquered dial is available in a broad range of colors. All models feature highly scratch-resistant sapphire crystals and a water-resistance to 50 Atmosphere / 500 Meters.
The Squale 1521 comes equipped with a high-quality Italian 100% natural rubber diving strap with a subtle vanilla scent. Optional accessories include an easy-to-size Milanaise bracelet or a leather strap, to complement the elegance of the watch.
