CORALLO 2008 NOS:
A DIVE INTO THE 1980s
Not inspired by history — it IS history.
The Corallo was a collection that embodied the 80’s spirit for Squale:
compact dimensions and a design that resonated with the trends of the era.
It was perfect balance between functionality and style.

The name Corallo, which means “coral” in Italian, comes from the distinctive design of its bezel, featuring eight rounded humps that closely resemble the natural shape of coral. Not only they gave the watch its unmistakably 1980s aesthetic, but they also served a functional purpose: making it easier to operate the rotating bezel even while wearing diving gloves.
These vintage cases, with their surprisingly modern dimensions of 36.8 mm diameter, 10.5 mm thickness, and 44 mm lug-to-lug, featured original serial numbers engraved by MRP. For the first time in its history, Squale decided to revive these cases in a hybrid form, blending the original structure with a reimagined modern aesthetic, updated materials, and enhanced safety technologies.
THIS ISN'T A REISSUE.
IT'S A TRAVEL THROUGH TIME.
After a long period of meticulous re-engineering, Squale brings an exciting
Limited Edition of 300 pieces:
The Corallo NOS 2008.
While preserving the original cases, performance has been brought up to modern standards, thanks to updated gaskets and a domed sapphire crystal, ensuring water resistance up to 200 meters. The original bezel structure remains intact, while the aluminum insert has been redesigned in two color variations with SuperLuminova-treated numerals and markers, perfectly complementing the three newly reimagined dials: available in black, blue and sky-blue.

Straight from the 1980s, fully upgraded in terms of reliability and safety, with a few ingenious enhancements that make it truly stand out.
The name 2008 refers to the original production reference, which is still engraved on the case-back.
The beating heart of this timepiece is the historical ETA 2892/A2 automatic caliber. With a diameter of 25.60mm and an ultra-slim thickness of just 3.60mm, this movement is renowned for its reliability and precision. Its reduced dimensions, make it the best companion for a sleek diver watch.

All 300 pieces of this limited edition will be accompanied by perforated rubber strap by Bonetto Cinturini, perfectly capturing the spirit of classic dive watches.
But the historical finds don’t end here. Another element, coming directly from the same decade,
makes this limited edition even more exclusive:
the original NOS steel bracelets.
Along with the 300 cases, a batch of only 100 authentic steel bracelets from the era was also found in the Squale archives, dating directly back to the 1980’s: crafted from sheet metal, with hollow end links and hollow clasp, they featured the original vintage Squale Logo.
The 100-piece e-commerce-exclusive version, featuring a striking sky-blue dial, will be paired with the original NOS Squale steel bracelet from the 1980s.
