The New SUB-39 GMT Vintage
Squale is proud to introduce the latest model of the SUB-39 Series
The Sub-39 GMT Vintage was born from a desire to expand a collection that boasts a strong connection with the brand’s history. Its case design is inspired by models produced by Squale in the 60s during the golden era of dive watches, and it has been updated with an impressive water resistance of up to 300 meters.
The "Vintage" is the first GMT in the Sub-39 series and it is a combination of past and present. All the essential elements of a diver watch are found in the details, from the simplicity of the dial that guarantees perfect readability even at depth, to the presence of SuperLuminova—vital features for diving, when visibility is reduced and it is crucial to keep track of immersion and decompression times.
The red hand of the GMT was designed to allow the second time zone to be read easily in conjunction with the rotating 24-hour bezel when not underwater. The box-shaped, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal captures the charm typical of many Squale models from the 60s, while the conical crown has roots in the world of pilot watches and aviation instruments.
The Sub-39 GMT Vintage is powered by the ETA 2893-2, an automatic movement renowned for its robustness and reliability. Regulated and tested by our expert watchmakers, it operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and delivers a power reserve of approximately 50 hours.
The retro aesthetic of the Vintage is a tribute to Squale’s rich and illustrious heritage, combined with its commitment to continuous innovation and dedication to serving emerging needs. A truly do-it-all tool watch, the Sub-39 GMT Vintage is both practical and stylish, and the ideal choice for any diver or world traveler embarking on their next adventure.
