Squale and Grimoldi Watches, in celebration of the historic bond between the brand and the city of Milan, have created a 65-piece limited edition of an iconic model for the brand's 65th anniversary.

Grimoldi Watches is a historic boutique located in the heart of Milan, right in front of the Duomo, specializing since 1964 in the sale of fine jewelry and watches from the most prestigious brands. Squale is proud to partner with this esteemed boutique to strengthen its connection with Milan, the brand's historic home.

Squale 1521 - Grimoldi Edition

To celebrate the occasion, a unique model with specially designed features has been introduced to the market for the first time.

The choice fell on the iconic 1521, retaining the classic lines that have defined its success while further enhancing its underwater capabilities. One of the most significant innovations is the repositioning of the crown, now located at "4 o'clock" and, in this version, advanced further to the inner side of the wrist, eliminating any possibility of friction and improving comfort.

To highlight the professional character of the 1521 Grimoldi, the case features a matte finish achieved through the “microbillage” technique, which eliminates reflections, making it ideal for military or recreational diving. The date has been removed to simplify the dial and enhance reliability. The dial's design has also been refined: round markers improve readability, especially in challenging conditions such as murky water or low visibility.

For maximum visibility in the dark, luminous material has been applied in 15 layers, significantly increasing brightness and durability. The minute hand has been enlarged to ensure easy reading during dives, while the second hand has been enhanced with a round luminous marker and contrasting color to aid decompression stops. These details make the watch a reliable tool even in the most extreme conditions.

The strap includes the classic black option along with an additional orange strap for a stylish touch. A new stainless steel bracelet is also available for metal enthusiasts. For the 65th anniversary, the watch comes in an elegant natural leather travel pouch, designed to hold the watch and its accessories, replacing the traditional box.
